Huwa Karu Yuxibu
O jovem Mapu Huni Kui desde muito cedo demonstra interesse pela ancestralidade e espiritualidade de seu Povo, também conhecido como Kaxinawá. Nascido no rio Breu, afluente do rio Juruá, parte mais ocidental da Floresta Amazônica Brasileira, Mapu vem de uma linhagem de Pajés que lhe proporcionaram desde cedo o contato com os mistérios da floresta na sabedoria de curar, no trânsito entre mundos e no aprendizado dos ensinamentos das medicinas. Seu pai, Isaka Dua Bake e seu avôzinho, Txuã Katxuka, foram ao longo do tempo lhe mostrando alguns dos muitos segredos da Mãe Natureza. Tornando-se um pesquisador das medicinais tradicionais Huni Kui e plantas de poder, Mapu foi e continua mapeando, estudando as práticas também com outros mestres Huni Kui.
Cansado de ver a mesma história dos povos indígenas se repetir no Brasil onde há muita morte para a defesa de suas terras, Mapu decidiu agir diferente para garantir a sobrevivência de seu povo e cultura, decidindo trabalhar e arrecadar fundos para adquirir uma nova terra para seu povo, que, por conta das injustiças, perderam suas terras originárias e estão sofrendo com o processo de desestruturação identitária e cultural. Sendo assim, Mapu busca também construir o Centro Huni Kui de Pesquisas de Plantas Medicinais Huwã Karu Yuxibu, que promove uma vida digna à sua comunidade Huni Kui além do resgate do povo indígena que vive nas ruas de Rio Branco, para então seguirem restaurando sua cultura, reconstruindo identidades.

The young Mapu Huni Kui since very early shows interest in the ancestry and spirituality of his people Huni Kui, also known as Kaxinawá. Born on the river Breu, a tributary of the Jurua River, the westernmost part of the Brazilian Amazonian Forest, Mapu comes from a line of Pajés (spiritual leaders) that gave him early contact with the mysteries of the forest in the wisdom of healing, in the transit between worlds and in the learning of the teachings of medicines. His father, Isaka Dua Bake and his grandfather, Txuã Katxuka, have been showing him some of the many secrets of Mother Nature over the years. Becoming a researcher of traditional medicinal Huni Kui and power plants, Mapu has been and continues to map out, studying practices also with other Huni Kui masters.
Tired of seeing the same story of indigenous peoples repeat themselves in Brazil where there is a lot of death to defend their lands, Mapu decided to act differently to ensure the survival of their people and culture, deciding to work and raise funds to acquire a new land for their people, who, because of injustice, have lost their original lands and are suffering from the process of identity and cultural disintegration. Thus, Mapu also seeks to build the Huni Kui Center for Research on Medicinal Plants Huwã Karu Yuxibu, which promotes a dignified life for its Huni Kui community as well as the rescue of indigenous people who live in the streets of Rio Branco, and then continue to restore their culture , rebuilding identities.
